Welcome to the Runchel family web site

Our branch of the tree started in Aalborg, Denmark when Jens Christian Runchel married Frederikke Christine Plumin 1849. They had 4 children, Georg Carl Christian Runchel (1849) Christian Frederik Ludvig Runchel (1851) Anton Anders Holger Peter Runchel (1853) and Jakob Thustrup Runchel (1855). Jakob emigrated to Australia in 1879 and married Rosa Rebeca Stephens (1883). In Denmark the family goes back to Johan Runchel (1606) he lived in Copenhagen and was married about 1630 to Kirsten (1610) If anyone has information about the Runchel family or would like to find out anything about the family please contact me at bruce@runchel.id.au
